block/parry 'unarmed' w/ heavy forearm armor?
Idea:
Armor - very thick plates on forearms Use - to specifically block attacks Questions: -rules to use? block? parry? block/parry failure? skills to use to determine block/parry? (I mean, I'd assume Brawling...) -successful block does damage to the arm (minus the DR of the arm plates?) (bonus points if can piece-meal use LT armor to specifically get only armor on Forearms and block/parry w/ that?) Inspired by clip from batman Begins where Ducard and Wayne are training and are blocking katana strikes w/ ?barbed?spiked? gauntlets... |

It's just armor that protects you when parrying; if your parry fails, they can target your arm instead, and the armor is there to protect you.

I'd say is a unarmed parry with -2.
If they keep the arm still, then it's at +0, but they can't use that arm. |

With that rule you have the problem of the guy parrying once with his right hand sword, once with his left hand knife, once with his right forearm and once with left forearm.

He said "failed parry".
I guess those numbers are just a kind of hit location, to see where the strike can land (since the defender has DR only on it's forearms, it's important, I think).
