Default Pre-Orders at Warehouse 23

We have officially opened pre-orders for Car Wars Sixth Edition.

Is there anything that comes with the Playmat #1/#3 combo that doesn't come with them if ordered individually?

No. It’s simply a combo package that was created to make Kickstarter fulfillment less painful.

Okay. I just found it odd that it would cost you four cents to combine. :)

As Car Wars Kickstarter rewards start to move into the fulfillment stage, we want to remind everyone that pre-orders are open and scheduled to ship in 2022. Warehouse 23 pre-orders are not shipping alongside the Kickstarter rewards.

Is the rulebook in the 2-player sets the same as the Core set?
Basically you're just getting half the minis?

Also, just two dash boards.

A Core Set is a Rules Box, Minis A, /and/ Minis B.

A 2-player Box is a Rules Box and /one of/ Minis A or Minis B.

The Minis A and B boxes contains minis (obviously) and the stuff each player needs a copy of: the bases, the dashboards, and the build cards - 2 players' worth each.

The Rules box contains the stuff you only need one of, no matter how many players you have: the rule book, the tokens, the turn keys, the dice set, the internal damage cards, the terrain cards, and the premade record sheets.

[BTW, the rules box, on preorder, is only $9 more than a dice set, and you get a lot more stuff. Having extra premade record sheets may be particularly useful, because of the way they're laid out. If you're buying an extra dice set, strongly consider getting an extra rules box instead.]

@philreed is there any chance we might see Miniatures Sets 1/2/3/4 each bundled with a Dashboard? Component wise, that would make them similar to Miniatures Box A and B (but five cars instead of six). I would pay full MSRP for that.

Can't speak for Phil, but as I understand it, there is no easy way to break components out of the packages they come in and sell them separately.

Right now, every dashboard that exists is in a Minis A or Minis B box. Selling them separately or rebundling them would require having people manually open the Minis A and B boxes in the warehouse, and manually split them up and recombine them with Minis 1, 2, 3, and 4 boxes. On top of the manpower required, this would render the affected Minis A and B boxes unsellable in their current form.

That is not going to happen any time soon, and may very well never happen.
