I suggest using Google Docs Spreadsheets myself . . . . I've used them for years and its made me happy. Before that I used Excel

Before that I used Notepad. I do not recommend notepad.

Our group used to have a hardcore GCA (or was it GCS? It used to be GURU, but he switched to GCA or GCS) but the sheer convenience of sharing and the easy to read nature of Google Docs Spreadsheets eventually won him over

As for the viewing part, I print all of my characters to pdf for storage and use and save them to Google Docs which I can then view on my tablet or phone just in case I somehow end up at the table without my binder of characters.

If you mean a "game aid" or "player aid" program, yes, you certainly can, if it's for a PC-type computer and you include the appropriate notices. We currently do not allow "apps" for mobile devices to be created using our content or trademarks. Yes, this seems like an arbitrary distinction, and as we learn more and the legal and technical issues become more clear, we may be able to change this, but please don't write us saying "I want to write an app, so change your policy," because the decision is not related to the number of pleas we get from would-be app coders. Sorry.

I've always wondered what this meant for web sites. Many web sites run just fine on a mobile device with a bit of display formatting.

I'd guess that this originally referred to phones, but what about tablets? Is it just things that need to originate from an app store? What about side loading? After all there's arguably zero difference between an "app" and a "program" (just the former is what those crazy kids call the latter these days) except for the distribution channel.

which doesn't stop you from disrube it via side loading. just not via the stores. Of course apple has issues with side loading apps themsvles. but not an issue for andriod

I really doubt SJG wants to start drawing that distinction. Offering any kind of guidance on device operation leads on into a swamp of support issues very rapidly.

they are making that distintion. They stopping apps sole for putting them In stores becuase stores will not acknollge that both the app creators and the lice IP rights at the same time. Take the store out the equation and it falls under their ok for PC rules becuse that just betten the programmer ans SJGames not third party making this difficult.
