GURPSDay is live!

I'm back!

I updated and reran the script - its hit and miss what works, which is bizarre. One of my bloggers told me that RSS can be a tetch unstable, so multiple combined runs are the way to go, and that's what I did, and it worked. One blog even came back an error one run, and fine two minutes later.

Anyway, 37 posts, which is about 10% light for a typical week (which should be about 40), and we got a new blog on the roll.

One last update: I went and pulled the last 25 posts for our newcomer, Chain Link and Concrete, which spans about a year's worth of blogging. New additions to the blog roll will always be treated this way from this point out.

GURPSDay is going well. We routinely hit between 40 and 60 posts from 39 blogs in any given week (with T Bone's GURPS Diner stubbornly resisting all attempts to wget the hell out of its content).

But it could be more. Because I know there are more people playing and writing about GURPS, even occasionally.

So this is a challenge and an invitation.

Thursday is GURPSDay, and we're back into the swing of things

The links below represent an incomplete pull. The RSS feeds were pretty light as of 7:30am this morning.

We have a few new blogs on the rolls, but I'm not sure if we've got them all straightened out yet. Everyone needs to tag their posts GURPS to get included in the script, and that may or may not have been done.

May is GURPSDay recruiting month. I'm hoping to more than double the number of blogs we pull from over the next 6 weeks (faster would be better!). I've already received two new blogs, though only one is reflected below because I need a few more details from the second blog's author. But . . . if you blog about GURPS with any regularity, adding your blog to the script is easy, free, and can only help your traffic.

Thursday is GURPSDay, while it's been a light week for me (which is a shame, because the last Aeon game gave me a lot to think and talk about), others have been on the case, with 31 articles on the rolls thus far, and it's only 7am CST.

GURPS Day Summary May 27 - June 1, 2016

Thursday is GURPSDay, and as of today, GURPSDay is about six months old. Oh, and it's also my 15-year anniversary. That picture there to the right is probably from 2000 or 2001, when we got engaged. A long road and two children later, we're still here, and I'm gaming more than ever, so something must have worked.

But in honor of the longevity there, I'm giving you all the blogs. We finally got script issues figured out, so I'm pulling the last 25 articles from all 49 blogs on the list. Enjoy!
