Default reason for change in GEV G-1 map?

I was comparing the GEV G-1 map from the 2000 VHS box edition and the Ogre 6ed Battlefields, and I noticed that a road segment moved from hex 0204 to hex 0203. Does anyone know why?

Default Re: reason for change in GEV G-1 map?

Hmmm, my 1978 copy of G.E.V. has the roads and railroads in different locations than the 2000 poster map and the double sided Battlefields version (albeit the hex numbers were different back in the old days). The PDFs released by SJG also are the same between later releases.

The 1978 map, the road in the NW corner goes from (modern hexes) 0404, 0304, 0204, 0104; the later maps follow the route 0404, 0304, 0203, 0104. Perhaps there are two print runs of the 2000 era map?
