Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
I'm looking for one (maybe two) more players to join in with Worlds of Fire. Character requirements have been posted already (start at the first post and work from there). I'm interested in characters who might have some backstory to bring into things. Based on my experiences with PbP I'm de-emphasising the combat-time somewhat; I will be making efforts to work in rolls for everyone to make, but sometimes you will need to make them yourself. Anyone who is interested, let me know.

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
Alright then strategy ideas:
Brainwashing would work, but being a caster he has decent will so it would take a while. Probably a couple of weeks at least for anything significant, although I'm not sure the NPC's want to sit around that long. A more normal interrogation might work too, John does have that and bonuses aren't too hard to come by. Use of torture over a long period of time would give +8. The -5 for being devoted to his cause and maybe -3 for him being fanatic, would probably leave us on even footing. So people interrogation? |

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
Hmm... I'm not a 100% sure on this, was John around at the same time of Indigo Joe? It was a long time ago and I read through some pre-John parts of the threads. (And yes, I'll skim through the old part of the thread to find out, I figured if anyone has a better memory this might be easier...)

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
You and me were both active players at the same time, but I don't think John and Indi ever met thanks to Indi's lone ranger tendencies.

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
I'll be playing "michael". Here's his sheet (I think this is the correct copy). This is out of character, he will at least not be telling his team mates exactly what he can do.

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
We use Invisible Castle. For best use, make an account (so it will track all the rolls you make using any given character name).
Huh. It occurs to me that I never actually posted any of Seann's character sheet. Ever. Heh. Sorry about that. It'd be a nightmare to get it up here, though. I had to send his equipment list by email (it was too long for a pm). EDIT: And yes, I know I need to post. My life has kind of imploded of the dozenth or so time in the last two months or so, so I'm trying to get things under control. |

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
No way Overconfident, Daredevil Indi is going to back down from something as minor as "enemies with unimaginable arcane power"! He has decent Will (13) and Luck, so he's not a total pushover in that regard... A Charm spell could really ruin our day, but that is true of any of us (our mage should really learn some defensive spells at some point). Also, in case it was misunderstood his idea was more "health inspector" or "phone repair man" than "police inspector". Basically he is proposing that they pose as someone who would have a legitimate reason to be there, who would have to be accommodated to maintain the masquerade, and then pose as a common robber who was posing as the above thing to initiate hostilities, with the hopeful outcome that we will learn what cards they have on the table before they learn who is really attacking them.

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
Quote:
The Nazis (officially the 4th Reich which took power after the Necromancers working for the 3rd Reich were deposed and became the cult operation that they are today) run most of Europe and so forth and their present representatives are the SS who you have been working with so far. The night club was a Necromancer base. The SS were raiding it (with your assistance). But the Necromancers had already cleared out and the Clerics, who are opposed to the Necromancers on any level and the SS because they're magic users, were the people that you've been talking to. The Clerics have agreed (doubtfully, and with reservations) to work with you and the SS against the Necromancers. Michael was trying to read the mind of the Clerics (Americans, also allies, but not Nazis). Any further questions?

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
actually, I specified nazis. I'm willing to say he had another go at the americans if that makes things simpler, particuarly as you gave out some very interesting and useful data, but the intent was to pick the local in the room least likely to be shielded.
Michael has a lot of digging he wants to do, but it kind of depends on how that last exchange "happened". Did he target a Nazi and the bishop blocked it? did he target a Nazi and it went through, or possibly found a lucky goon? or if its simplier to go with what happened, we can do that. your call, the plot comes first. mostly, he wants to make sure these guys aren't the people they're tracking. He finds the inability to enter their minds an indicator of outside influence, and isn't sure if the angel is western harbour, the blazen, or a tale concocted by the necromancers. I probably need to decide he trusts one person well enough to confide these doubts with. Likely Indi, if only because hes sure the guy is from western harbour.
