Affect Spirit is sort of weird
What is strange to me about Affect Spirit is that an object with out this ability can not interact with spiritual matter at all but once Affect Spirit is applied to the item then that item completely interacts with spirits. There is not gradient or level of interaction, instead it is all or nothing. When I think about a spirit, I think about something that is out of phase with material reality unless there is some way to allow material to interact with the spiritual. I feel that weaker magic might allow some minor intereraction while greater magic would allow more. Having an all or nothing situation seems strange to me.

Having it be all or nothing is the only way that makes sense to me, particularly from a gameplay perspective.

Re: Affect Spirit is sort of weird
What would partial interaction entail though?
I have wanted to make such a thing, or its reverse, for fairies. Trying to create mangled versions of Insubstantial don't work.

There's a Touch enhancement for Insubstantial. It allows for things like tapping shoulders, playing with hair, and maybe knocking over a glass.
