Peter will find a little time to practice his puff of smoke and see if he can grab that puff and make it into a tiny Karana insect scout to help them track.
From an ER perspective... The smoke requires a lot of ER, and the Karana Requires ER. 5 Minutes of use per ER. Roll IQ to leave some ER for the Karana (you can leave a point per margin of success), Roll for Karana creation, and roll for the bug's physiology.

Peter is able to conjure the smoke... but has no more power left to form the insect.

Peter will have to keep working on that trick...

He will try and be good company and not get in the way, doing his best to make his presence on the hunt welcome.

Rolling survival... both Peter and Yal-Pona get 7's.

Peter spots a large (10lb) rat-possum thing in a tree.

Peter will point it out to his companions and they hunt the little beast!

Urs-Pen takes out his bow while the others move to surround the creature. Yal-Pona hangs back. Peter notices only two of them really have ranged weapons, aside from him.

Peter follows the other hunter's lead, not wanting to get in the way of their normal methods or taking a shot out of "turn".

They're not good at tracking, and their stealth is moderate, but their skill with the weapons is absurd. After someone spooks the critter, it is speared by an arrow and by a javelin.

Gim Hyrus, with all the muscles, flips Peter a crude knife and asks him to dress the kill.

Tym-Burzu, who carries the javelins, suggests they split up: "We have two trackers now! I can take the mortal and Pal-Ursta and we can cover more ground."

Peter dresses the animal and packs it for travel.

He is happy to split up and see what else he can track down. He is feeling pleased with himself to have spotted the creature and to have cleaned it... Which is a nice rebound from feeling silly for borrowing a bow after seeing their skill at arms.
