Ogre book supplementary materials?
Has there ever been a boxed edition or expansion with all the counters for the units mentioned in the Ogre addon book?
I had fun with this game back in the day, and am thinking of getting back into it. |

Engineers are in the DE set for PE and NAC iirc. Various GEV-MCP's are on the SATO custom sheet. Various Nihon units are on the Nihon custom sheet.

Very cool, thanks. But no aircraft?

Re: Ogre book supplementary materials?
Canonically, combat aircraft don't exist - they're too fragile and easy to shoot down at long range. That's why we have GEVs.
Most (though not all) of the "interesting" units from The Ogre Book are unofficial at best, and unlikely to ever see any sort of official counters or rules. If you want to play with them, you're pretty much on your own for making them...

Interesting. I'll have to reread the background material.

I have two sets of Avalon Hill's _Starship Troopers_ so I can use MI in _O_ events.... :)

Re: Ogre book supplementary materials?
Okay, I dug up my old Ogre Book from way back, and I recall the bit about fragile aircraft, but I also remember reading the variant of "flying fortresses".
The only thing that gets me about aircraft in Ogre and GEV is the fact that they're not aligned with the hex facings, and instead use the spleen. It just seems odd. |

^ Makes sense. As soon as one appears, they spill blood and guts everywhere...

Re: Ogre book supplementary materials?
Maybe I missed something, or am not remember the rules correctly, but I can't quite recall the justification for the frailty of aircraft in Ogre/GEV.
