If you reintroduced Status and Wealth into the DFRPG, you could probably use the numbers I listed to justify "free resurrections" for the socially connected. That would render otherwise ho-hum traits a little more munchkin.
This is interesting because the "free resurrection" threshold is at 25 points, the same price as Extra Life 1, which also happens to be the cutoff for free Status from Wealth. Thus, people willing to make significant social investments get the thanks of the temple. Some duke with 90 points in fancy wouldn't be as good at magic or fighting or sneaking as other delvers, but he might well end up outliving his colleagues, if die-respawn-die-respawn-die-respawn could be called "living."

Seems reasonable, if he even bothers with warhorses. At that level, you probably have a flying carpet or something similarly cool.
