...that's right , it was in Reinforcements.

I concur, those Towing Rules are solid and work, but I had trouble translating them into gameplay. It had a lot of moving parts. I would welcome at-a-glance easier rules for Towing.

I was wondering if a maximum load carried should effect the Vulcans movement and reduce it to 3. Should the weight be considered Towing weight, for example, as if it were towing a vehicle?...or is it enough that the Vulcan can carry that maximum weight or any weight less, to zero, and it will have a move 4?

Also, the Vulcan has two empty "Secondary Battery slots". This had me thinking of...variants...lol
I was going to do some iteration illustrations, but a description is enough.

A Vulcan that had four smaller manipulator arms that would count as two big Arms (two small equal one big arm, kind of like the Drones) in place of the four Secondary Batteries for example, or another Vulcan that had two small arms and two Secondary Batteries. This would have in-game functionality because the load out rules have Vulcan drones able to be used to repair stuff faster counting as a big arm, depending on how many you use for example. These variants would have that capability built into the Vulcan.

I understand there is already backstory about why they are armed with two Secondaries, which is fine, I just couldn't help thinking of these variants. I don't know why OGRE brings out the designer so much in me, but it just does and I really appreciate being able to leave feedback here.

Thanks Drew.

Why do I have visions of 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton Vulcans with a bedliner and mudflaps?

Ok . . . you asked for it.

Here's your Dodge VulcRam Towing rules.

Play around with them and let me know what you think.

Is the tow hitch a single item that once destroyed, can't be used again? I assume the answer is yes. It should also be included on the record sheet with a checkbox to tick when destroyed.

Is it possible to repair a hitch?

Is there a summary that lists all of the vehicle sizes in one place?

At what point during a Turn is Towing initiated as a Vulcan?

How many Towing attempts my be attempted in a Turn?

Is Towing exclusive to the Vulcan?

Yes, it's one and done. And yes, the record sheets would need updating.

No. Destroyed is destroyed. It would need replacement, and that is not an "in-game" activity. That being said, I could see rolling for 'minor damage' as under the Weapon Repair rules, but would that be getting too fussy?

It is a Vulcan Task, as per the Engineering rules, so it is considered their 'attack' for that turn, and only one attempt per turn.
(Although clearly spelled out under "Engineering Tasks" which are referenced for Vulcan Tasks, this could be clearer under "Vulcan Tasks".)

Yup. Combat vehicles are for combat in Ogre.

minor damage roll = yuck. Just destroy it and call it a day.
