Re: [Space/Thaumatology] Stargate: Fantasy - Worldbuilding thread
I've been going back and forth about whether to say anything about this, but decided that in the interests of honestly and clarity, I should. I will abide by the consensus if the Gerudo-elf vote wins (though if there's a tie I may go with the other option), but I regret naming the Teal'c-expy G'annan, now. I'm really not sure why I dislike this 'Gerudo as elf' idea. I'm not angry, just bothered by it for some reason.
If the Gerudo-elf option does win, I suggest that as with the 'Vulcanian' elves in the Question, 'Gerudo' is a designation given by nerdy analysts, and their name for themselves is something else. If that option doesn't win, I've just wasted a post, but it's only one post, so whatever.

But desert elves are sick. Maybe I've played too much battle for wesnoth, but desert elves are really cool.

Umm, unfortunately (unless the timeline hopped) that doesn't work as Gerudo didn't appear until Ocarina of Time (1998), two years after "current year" for this setting. Honestly I think "Gerudo but not by name" is fine. I was mostly looking for "Brown Ginger Desert Elves" anyway

Poll remains open, so this may not matter. In a bit, I'm going to post a blank racial template sheet and blank character sheet template so that anyone who wants to post a new racial template or character has something standardised to work with. Really, I should have done that sooner.

Re: [Space/Thaumatology] Stargate: Fantasy - Worldbuilding thread
Right, it's been a few days since the last vote. 4 gets three votes and wins, but I almost missed Varyon's vote due to formatting issues (it helps to clearly include the number rather than describe the option and say 'I'll go with that'). YES also wins, since the only votes that even mentioned the second part of the question all went with it.
OK, now I'm not sure what the next question should be. My current thinking is to ask that someone who knows the games well used the racial template sheet above to create a racial template for the Desert Elves, so that we can vote on whether to accept that template or need a different version.
