I don't think the Thorsz would allow a pet wolf into the Death Test.

I like wizards casting Illusion. This is particularly useful against big tough and stupid foes. Like bears. But useful in any room. Just cannot use his ST when it really is not needed. Illusion is only 2 ST.

I still need to try and see how Illusions work (and invisibility), 2st is fine and leaves room for a strategic spell in the same room if needed.... a 4st to cast summon seems like too much investment.

SO.. To sumarize:

-34/36 pts wizard.
-Staff
-High dex for thrown
-High str
-Images and Illusions
-Also carries dagger and bow/xbow
-No pets allowed
-support / utility spells
-single point spells

Useful Spells: Image, Aid, Illusion; Wall, Fire, Drop Weapon, Clumsiness.

(thinking of situations to use shadow spell).

One of the more important uses of the Illusion spell is the Illusion duplicate mentioned in the Wizard rulebook on page 17. Wait until your friendly competent fighter has acted for that turn then create a duplicate in her hex. The enemy then won't know which figure to disbelieve, which makes your illusion at least twice as durable.

Just bear in mind that your wizard’s ST will be dangerously depleted after just a few castings of Illusion, so use it judiciously.

This! or the whole importance of illusions would make a fine video for your channel! Not nearly enough content on these things out there.

Other Wizard spells that can be particularly useful (and efficient) in Death Test, if you use them only at the right times, include:

Blur

Dazzle (great if your fighters have DX 14+, as you'll still be decent at hitting)

Shadow
