Default Weapon Master: Force Sword?

Is it an oversight that you can't add the weapon master bonuses to a Force Sword, or is it not allowed by the RAW? I can manually add it, just curious if it's missing on purpose or not from the choices in GCA.

Default Re: Weapon Master: Force Sword?

I don't think I ever asked for an official clarification, however my reading of Weapon Master is that it would not apply. Force Swords are not based on Swing or Thrust, rather they do a set amount of burn damage. Weapon Master specifically states it improves base Swing or Thrust damage.

At any rate, it looks like the existing modifier would work fine if applied to a Force Sword. Nor do I see anything particularly gamebreaking about making an 8d(5) burn attack do a +8 or +16 damage - you're already disintegrating most targets anyways.

Ahhh yeah I see what you mean... never thought of it that way, but makes sense then. But yeah, for swashbuckling games, especially like if you are doing a Star Wars game, I think it's cool. So, yeah I went ahead and manually cut and paste the code into a new modifier and it worked fine. :)

Thanks for the answer. :)
