I had a player pose a question for me: In the Basic Set, under Lame: Legless, it is mentioned that you must buy basic move to zero, but you do get the points for it.
Then, in the Ultra-tech write up of the Two Cybernetic Legs, it includes Legless with the -70% cyber mitigator, but does not mention changes to basic move. Should a character with two cyber legs buy their move down to zero with the -70% mitigator? |

In my interpretation, yes.

I would say “buy” move to zero and then buy it back to “normal” with cyber. Removing move with a cyber limitation on the removal implies that disabling cybernetics magically gives a limbless player movement.

You work out basic move as per normal.
Add the cost of the Cyber Legs and any other bonuses. The mitigator reduction goes on lame or legless. A -10 point disadvantage would be -3 with the reduction. Similar to bad eyesight, mitigator - glasses. |
