Default Parrying Heavy Weapons

Shouldn't the incoming weapon wielder's applied STRENGTH be the factor, not just the weapon's weight (up to the maximum stregth allowed by the weapon in question, perhaps)?

A 7'4", 400lb ST18 giant of a man hewing with a 4lb axe shouldn't be parryable with a 2lb sword, I'd think; it'd be way easier to crash the parry.

I'm aware of the principal of ansetzen (setting aside), but still.

You want the weapon damage rules in Low Tech Companion 2, if you want to get into more detail :D

I believe this came up in another thread, but I don't remember what conclusions were drawn.

I think that a lighter weapon is more likely to be swept aside than broken, so I'd be in favor of something related to Beat.

What Bruno said, plus the "Scaling Weapons and Armor" section (higher ST CAN mean bigger weapons, which are straight up harder to parry) and the Beat rules in Martial Arts.
