Skill for escape rooms, jigsaw puzzles, rubik, etc
I just saw the 2019 movie "Escape room". What skills would you use to represent a professional? To solve puzzles, riddles, riddles, rubik's cubes, etc? I know there is a Games (Riddles) skill, but what about the rest? Thank you.

I think this would be a straight IQ roll. Not everything has to be skills.

Re: Skill for escape rooms, jigsaw puzzles, rubik, etc
I'd use "the better of IQ or whatever skill the player proposes that you agree makes sense" for puzzles that have to be thought out, "the better of Per or whatever skill the player proposes that you agree makes sense" for ones that involve the real-world equivalent of pixel hunts.
What skills is infinitely variable, and depends on the puzzles: historical or literary references/quizzes would call for History or Literature, mechanisms would involve the Forced Entry-Lockpicking-Traps skill family, mathematical patterns would use Mathematics, etc. If you have professional puzzle-solvers in a setting, then presumably the puzzles they solve fall into a few specific categories that can be studied . . . because if the puzzles could be just about anything, nobody would ever have the time to become a professional. So categorize your puzzles, fit skills to the categories, and use the advice above. Of course, Intuition could certainly help, if guessing cold is a thing. But that's not a skill and perhaps not even something the GM would permit in a game that's all about solving puzzles.

Games (Puzzles) or Games (Logic/Deduction) would be appropriate skills. While Mathematics can cover the subjects of Games (Logic/Deduction), you don't need to know any linear algebra to solve eg. a Sudoku. The same relationship hold for something like a puzzlebox vs Traps/Lockpicking.

For a cinematic "puzzle-master" like The Riddler an Expert Skill (Enigmas) which covers all sorts of riddles, logic puzzles, games, etc. might be appropriate.
