A good point, and spider webs are remarkably strong by weight, so something light enough to be pulled into the character by the charge differential may still be able to bind them - at least for long enough for the spider to pounce and properly wrap them up. If the differential is high enough, maybe the electrical discharge on contact could actually stun the victim momentarily, buying the spider more time to arrive.
