Other than that, JPEG seems like the format to use and not PNG. But the 600x600 is a bit small considering that the main figure is again only half of that. Even in the 1000x1000 some details are hard to see. Anyway, nice pose, nice light, nice tattoo, nice pattern on the clothes. I like it. Regards Ts |

Thanks! Although the dress and the skin (including the tattoo) are not mine but store bought. About the artefact, ehehe, I probably had my pen in my hand trying to resize the image and my tablet is right next to my mouse so... The original image is 2400x2400 16 bit tiff. png is more flexible than jpeg that's why I use it. Not much difference between the original tiff and a same size png but with a jped, difference is quite obvious. Cheers...

Also, for JPEG, there's still the decision how much compression you want. A 1 MB jpeg / 1 million pixel typically gives a very clean image. The smaller version is at 0.7 MB / 1 million pixels and I didn't notice any artefacts. Of course, that depends on the picture as well. Most programs (Photoshop, Gimp, ...) have a way to preview the compressed JPEG and zoom into specific areas to check the quality. Regards Ts Last edited by Ts_; 02-28-2012 at 04:04 PM. After many changes to the campaign background and characters, we ended up with the following three characters.
Llewyn Llewyn CLose-up Morrígan Morrígan Close-up Mordecai Mordecai Close-up All rendered in DS4 using 3Delight with some tone correction afterwards. By the way, it's been 2 months I've been taking classical drawing lessons and it is fantastic. I have never done anything more fun in my life. Cheers...

Thanks for that Ts_, models are ready made so I can't really take credit for them but Llewyn took me some time to setup.
Cheers...

My first render with a 3rd i7 to help with the rendering (24-cores total! WOOT!) after 9 hours and almost 5k samples/pixel.
Stasy Preston. This is after a couple of sammiches when MonkeyFist came in and said: "I know you're a pastafarian, but she's too noodly." |

A quick "sketch" of a totally ridiculous moment from yesterdays game, involving a kobold vampire standing on the shoulders of a svirfneblin, pretending to be a dragonborn.
The guards didn't buy it.

Well, it is like a dragonborn . . . kinda like how people can say things that are like logic, but totally wrong.
Here's a super for MonkeyFist's Teen Supers game: First, it's Toni Vastus in normal clothes. And here is her translucent, force-field clad, alter ego Amethyst |
