Conan right now is in some sort of licensing limbo, as Mongoose no longer has the RPG license. I gather this is an attempt to exploit a brief window with a particular former license.

That's for certain! I'd yoink that in a heartbeat. And giggle like an over-sugared toddler at the amusement park while reading it.

Wow. 72mb download...But I luz it so much already. I feel like a kid at xmas.

My much loved, falling apart, taped cover, held together with clips and glue dead tree version can now pass on the burden on Hyborian gaming to another. Rest easy good friend, you have earned your place by Crom's side. :)

I imagine the stars and planets were in alignment, with there being no current Conan RPG license holder, and the recent Munchkin Conan release.

Every license is a separate deal, a separate negotiation, a separate cost, etc. You'd be amazed at how different they can be. So it's never safe to read about License X and infer that it says anything about License Y or Z, no.

My physical book was picked up used and much-battered, this is great and entirely unexpected.

And I'm still unsure why this requires a license, considering both 70+ years after REH's death in 1936, and 28 years after the copyright law of 1978 was 2006...
[/tangent]
