Was the Starship Crew Toolkit part of a Kickstarter?

Yes. I think it was the last one.

Ah, thanks!

I made a habit of buying everything when released.

Did not anticipate Kickstarter. :)

Uh, are they not going to release anything else until the PDF challenge PDFs have been released at a rate of one per week? That would make me sad, since it would mean Action 9 is still a long way off even though I've been eagerly awaiting it since late September.

I doubt that very much. I think its mostly staff tied up on some things that is slowing things down. We have a new Pyramid project announced but I expect to see the Thieves supplement out before the end of the year.

Hopefully this is the correct thread to ask this. Apologies if it isn't. I'm curious if there is any chance that the old 2nd edition GURPS basic box set will ever be added to the W23 store front in PDF or even PoD at some point.

Over all I prefer the streamlined simplicity of that version with the occasional add on of other books/rules as needed. Problem is the old books get worn, damaged etc. Tracking replacements down on eBay has become much more costly in recent years.

I'm sure some think it's silly to desire older versions of game rules, but as the OSR movement has shown, there is a market out there for it. Anyhow, I thought I'd ask. 😀

I don't think there really is a good thread to ask that or I would refer you to it. But my speculation would be no.

Figured it was worth a shot to ask. I asked on the GURPS discord but figured this was the best location to do so. Once the initial work was done of scanning it and getting it set, then the rest is a low maintenance deal for SJG. Thanks for the response though. :)

In theory but we have seen that many of those old books do not scan really well.
Also today we have an answer to an earlier question. New material definately coming before they release all the prior Kickstarter material.
Action 9: The City looks rather useful to modern campaigns of many stripes.

I hope so. I don't know of course, but that was my guess as well.
