Oh, and I want to see the "weapons" from the sidebar in GURPS Undead update for 4e. There are efficient ways to kill zombies, and guns and swords are not among them. :)
I'm wondering if the weapons will just be a subset of what's in MH: Loadouts, or if there will be some new gear present. I don't have GURPS Undead any longer so can you add some detail regarding the "weapons".

I'm hoping for a wide variety of monsters. I definitely want to see intelligent vampires - not the mindless killers from GURPS Black Ops. I'm also hoping that several of the vampires from GURPS Blood Types are adapted and updated to GURPS 4e standards. If the MH series is really successful maybe Undead and Blood Types (hopefully with a new name) will get updated to 4e with expanded material.

It would be a fun exercise. I adapted Rev PK's Cliffhanger-ed Action templates from Pyramid #3/08: Cliffhangers for something that sounds similar. But in hindsight I hamstrung the PCs with 150pt limits. 200+ would have been better.

I want to see Vampires with a blood addiction rather than any physical dependency on blood, who have a bizarre penchant for making amateur porno films of their kills, despite not showing up on camera themselves, and who have people working as police officers basically to cover up... Well, the things Vampires do.

...But then, that's probably just because I'm a Being Human fan and really like the treatment of Vampires in that source.

I like it to go together.

It's comparatively easy to overcome an addiction if you can escape any context where indulging in it is socially acceptable or even expected. When the addiction is something that you literally must engage in to live, controlling it is far more difficult.

...The record of going dry, canonically speaking, iirc, is two decades (...He wound up drinking his lover, who... Apparently had an expression of disappointment when he died). The first six months seem to be the hardest, basically because , but the aftermath of those is, basically, depicted as an alcoholic walking around a world of walking, talking, beer bottles, each one happily advertising their delicious alcoholic content.

British or American version? I've only seen the American version myself. As far as I can tell from the American version of Being Human vampires have both addiction for and dependency on blood. They also appear on film. There are also actual vampires on the police force and the vampires seem to have no problem with sunlight as far as I can tell - other than perhaps their eyes being sensitive to it (but no worse than some humans).

British - It's a mental addiction with some physical properties, but no actual dependency. They don't show up on film (the vampires on the police force canonically either use doctored photos from before they were recruited or stunt doubles, they don't reflect in mirrors (or anything silver), but do in glass (That one was a budget consideration, apparently), no major problem with sunlight although they tend to 'not be sun people', have no reaction to garlic, have situational Dread of holy symbols and religious paraphinalia, cannot enter property without being invited, and usually have Intolerance (Werewolves).

(As for why I prefer my Vampires to not have a dependency on blood - Sharks aren't monsters, they're just hungry. Remove the need to kill, however...)

I'd buy it. In a heartbeat.

Ummm I think that article was written by Kromm, not the Rev., unless my brain stroked off for a little bit there.

Still, I've thought about submitting some of the material I wrote for my group as a Pyramid article once Monster Hunters is released. It might be fun, I know my players had fun with it, maybe others will too.
