Well, I kind of cheated, in that Kadrey's Sandman Slim is pretty much a whole monster hunting team on his lonesome.

Oh, got another few...

Hellboy

Michael T. Gilbert's Mr. Monster

Elsa Bloodstone

El Hijo del Santo, putting an end to many a monster with atomic piledrivers and sleeper holds

Don't forget Ashley Willaims, S-Mart employee extraordinaire!

Dr. McNinja, from the eponymous comic, would seem to qualify as a researcher/investigator + monster hunter, though I'm not sure if he's disqualified due to being a 'super' hero or not, though - depends on how wide of a net 'super hero' is, I suppose, and if McNinja's Rule of Coolness is considered a super power or not.

That one definitely occurred to me but I haven't seen the series or read any of the books. I recently became aware of the two RPG game books available from Evil Hat that use the FATE system which I believe is a variant of the FUDGE system and uses an Open Game License (OGL).

I've heard Harry Dresden is a wizard who's a private detective. I assume he's a decent shot with firearms. How powerful a wizard is he? Does he use magic that's fast or slow?
EDIT: Ok, I'm working my way through the series on Netflix instant view.

Thanks,

Never seen the series or read the comic. Which of the templates would the character fall under? Why would he make a great monster hunter?

I *suppose* one could mention Anita Blake (before it became well...awful).
I've never read the series for this character either. I gather she's from a setting which is very magical where the monsters are known to exist by the genral public. I'm not sure this would disqualify her, but possibly. What template would she fill in GURPS MH?

Hellboy might be too superheroic. I'll need to re-watch the first film and check the second one.

Not familiar with any of the other characters. Can you provide some brief details and indicate description of which GURPS MH template they'd fall under?

I'd be extremely surprised if Hellboy/B.P.R.D. isn't one of the sources.

You've not seen the Evil Dead films? Ash is probably best made with some of the options that RPK has hinted at for ubering Sidekicks, actually.

Sure I just don't know if he'd balance with the characters already mentioned. With my limited knowledge of the character, he seems much more powerful than Angel, Buffy, Blade, and Duncan MacLeod. if i'm wrong on that please correct me. Buffy is probably on the low end of the scale and Blade is at the high end. Still they are all in the same ball park for power-level. In my proposed all champions campaign scenario, I want the characters to be somewhat varied but on the same power level.

Afraid not. I've not heard great things about the series so, I've never bothered to watch any of them.

Comics Blade and Comics Hellboy are probably roughly equivalent, if anything Blade is more powerful.
