Ah, but would that be the 100-point character, the 150-point character, or the alternate universe 700-point Super Icelander character?

Depends on the scale. Anything much past 25 °Bx is getting too sweet. If we go with RS, though, he can go up to maybe 40 before getting out of character. But he could go to just under 100 °Oe (at 150 °Oe, he'd be rotten, if noble).

And again, the description fits me to a tee.

Noble in aspect and manner, thoroughly rotten. ;)

And I love dessert wines. Particularly fond of Tuscan vin santo and, of course, Hungarian Tokaji Aszú.

Behringer Nightingale. Unfortunately I haven´t found a source in berlin yet.
But the hotel where I stayed at the San Jose worldcon had it, and it made a noticeable contribution to the bill. And I still have a (small) bottle.

These things are my #1 vice. I have but a modest cellar -- a cabinet, really -- that holds about 100 bottles. Yet of that, I'm keeping two Coteaux du Layon (one Bonnezeaux and one CdL proper), three sweet Gewürztraminers of various origins (two SGNs and a VT), two icewines, a dodgy Moscato dessert wine, a late-harvest Riesling, a Sauternes, four Tokaji Aszú (three six puttonyos and one Essencia), and a Trockenbeerenauslese, plus a row of Spätlesen and Auslesen (yes, I love my Prädikatswein) and a random pomme glacé (the apple equivalent of icewine). And since most people fear sweet wine because they've never had good stuff, I'll mostly not have to share much.

If I ever go to Montreal, and if you choose to invite me over, may I try some?

What say ye Faithful?

Has it been a beautiful spring? Is our gaming good? Does the Holy Mother Thread stand strong?

Apropos of nothing, I've found work to be a most damnable distraction from gaming and would ask His indulgence in removing the need for this vexing exertion. Surely some mechanism whereby briefs and decisions write themselves could be devised by His infinite wisdom and grace. I would them be free to devote more time to gaming and the shepherding of His flock in His absence, which couldn't fail to result in a most happy increase in my gaming expenditure.

All hail KROMM!!!

Summer is coming along nicely in Sweden, thanks to KROMM's decision to send us nice, high-pressure weather. Cirrus clouds, but nothing more. Temperatures at about 25 degrees C (that's about 75-80 degrees for those of you stuck with pre-SI units).

All in all, nice weather to sit inside and play games.

Similar in germany. The canadian sun he sent some time ago works beautifully. In fact, I have heard reports from mallorca hinting that spaniards will soon start to have vacations here to get out of the rain and see the sun.

Glad to hear it. Now will someone in the Kromm Cult please turn off the tornado generator? It's getting a little monotonous out here.
