Default Pole Vaulting

Are there rules for doing this anywhere? I know there is a pole vault kick in martial arts but that's sort of a different scenario. I'm thinking about pole vaulting for distance or height.

There’s a cinematic Combat Vaulting Perk in PU2 that gives a skill bonus to Acrobatics and/or Jumping when using a pole weapon you’ve trained to use in this manner. For actual pole vaulting, I’d say something like an Acrobatics roll at a penalty dependent on how high you go. Adding in a jump at the end would be a further penalty (and would mean abandoning the pole) but would get you higher than the pole; I’d eyeball it at around 1/2 normal standing high jump.

For the penalties, maybe -1 per 2 yards, and a -2 if you jump at the end? Higher-quality poles probably give a bonus, and you can buy a Technique to offset the penalties.

For actual pole vaulting I'd use either Jumping/Acrobatics at a penality (-2 to -3) or Sports (Pole Vaulting). A Skill Adaptation perk would be sufficient for me to remove the penality to Jumping or Acrobatics.

Combat/action use is covered by the Combat Vaulting perk mentioned.

But as far as actual rules on using a pole in a jump, I've not been able to find anything beyond the stuff the Combat Vaulting perk text. Basically, add reach of the pole used to either vertical or horisontal jump distance.

I would have pole vaulting add the length of the pole to the height of a jump.

That's all well and good, but who's going to adapt The Deadly Spring so that we can calculate the benefits of different custom vaulting pole materials and construction?
