Default Healing Spell Idea

The problem with a healing spell in TFT is that, unlike the "I forgot how to cast it balance" in D&D. TFT spells can be cast to infinity if enough rest is given. That's why it seems many have healing potions poured into 7-11 Big Gulps for the journey.

The goal with these spells is too generate some healing heroes in the game.

Quote:
Psychic Siphon (IQ 11)

For the cost of 2 ST, the wizard may heal up to 4 hits on any one figure. The psychic nature of magic does this by transferring the damage and pain onto the wizard performing the spell. Thus, the 2 ST the wizard pays is actual damage and cannot be healed except by rest. Another spell or healing potion cannot heal this damage.

Cure Infection (IQ 12)

For the cost of 3 ST, the wizard may heal disease or poison on any one figure. The psychic nature of magic does this by transferring the damage and pain onto the wizard performing the spell. Thus, the 3 ST the wizard pays is actual damage and cannot be healed except by rest. Another spell or healing potion cannot heal this damage.

Major Psychic Siphon (IQ 13)

For the cost of 4 ST, the wizard may heal up to 8 hits on any one figure. The psychic nature of magic does this by transferring the damage and pain onto the wizard performing the spell. Thus, the 4 ST the wizard pays is actual damage and cannot be healed except by rest. Another spell or healing potion cannot heal this damage.
Things to think about...

I thought of allowing another wizard to heal this spell's damage with the same spell, but thought against it since advanced wizards have powerstones and such.

Will a 5/ST check save the wizard from half the damage? I always like an excuse to use ST for a roll.

Let's just take a Molly who can cast spells to
"Regrows all missing parts of the subject and restores full health."
"cure a plague victim, vampire, or werewolf"
And once she reaches IQ 19
"restore any dead creature to life"

Curious what part of this creates a Molly. The ST used to cast is rest-only damage. Please be more specific.

I'm not a big fan of spells that don't work like other spells (real vs fatigue damage), but I like the out-of-the-box thinking. In my game, healing magic is implemented using a new XP-based character option called Powers. It is tied to positive energy channeling (not to be confused with divine channeling) which plays a significant role in my campaign.

I've actually been working on another set of Powers for psionic abilities and your ideas would probably work really well there.

I.e. the clerics in this game are the wizards who can cure all wounds and diseases and once they've got a few XPs raise the dead.

OK. So how would you build a molly to do that using this?

Mindy the Medic
ST 6, DX 9, IQ 17
Maul Staff(1d/1d+2)
Goblinish, Humanish, Literacy, Master Physicker
Cleansing, Regeneration, Staff V

Relies on lots of apprentices to power her spells (and boost DX)

My house ruling is that she can not apply Master Physicker after using Regeneration to raise the target from -20 ST to zero ST.

OK cool.

So, how does this figure into the spells I created? With a ST 6, going to be hard pressed to use the spells I made in the field.

This figure uses existing spells and abilities to heal. She does everything you suggest easier.

Master Physicker is only good after a fight, not during, and can only be used once for each battle.
