Mostly just because it will probably work out to be cheaper for them to be Allies.

Well, no, because you already need Snatcher for objects.

Yeah, but you need Summonable Allies to get creatures that do what you tell them. More directly, though, you could take a limitation on Snatcher. The points saved might be enough to make Allies a cost-effective AltAb.

I wouldn't consider this a best buy, as the Allies would desert you when you switched over to Snatcher.

Or disappear entirely. Of course, they'll still do that if you get them with Snatcher.

And I was talking specifically about creatures that were just the way they were in the book, and so wouldn't do what you told them unless they wanted to. Or unless they were flying monkeys and you also Snatched the magical cap that lets you command them, I guess...

But rather than take a limitation on Snatcher, I'd just make the Jumper, the Snatcher, and the (Modular Ability of) Summonable Allies all a set of Alternative Abilities, myself, if you even have the Allies option. You're not going to be doing Jumper and Snatcher at the same time, anyway, unless you forgot Carrying Capacity on your Jumper.

Not if Snatcher has Permanent, in either case, since that makes the usage transient with lasting effects, rather than maintained in any way that goes away when you use it again or switch to a different ability, any more than you'll pop back to your home dimension when switching away from Jumper.

And the concept pretty much cries for Permanent, anyway.

Dunno what the OP has in mind regarding such things, although Permanent does look desirable if you were making the build from scratch. My issue is still with the cost. Adding Large Items and More Weight is already pricey... when you start talking Permanent, it might be to your benefit to look for more cost-effective builds.
