For the record, I didn't intend to offend anyone with my posts. If I did, I'm sorry, & I apologize for making you feel offended.

I was genuinely confused as to why a current GURPS writer would want to support more Pyramid, until I read this:

Without it, it's hard to find and develop new writing talent, and many cool ideas end up either discarded as too short or overwritten just to make page count.
Duh...
That should have been obvious to me, but it didn't come to the surface at that moment I'd posted against Pyramid.

Guesses?
Mine are Munchkin...
My thinking would be that Munchkin doesn't count for this speculation. It's specifically identified as External, so Munchkin can't be involved, as that's obviously Internal, right?

Could be. However, I read it as external to the GURPS line as its coming from the line editor. In my experience business people refer to external as something outside their department as well as outside the company. And a GURPS Munchkin product would require no licensing or other difficulties. Only call there is if the people in charge think it would be beneficial to the bottom line to do it. Certainly a GURPS Munchkin would be lower sales volume than Marvel Munchkin or likely Pathfinder Munchkin but you would get some synergy and cross promotion so they might consider it worth a try. Especially since it has lower overhead in terms of licensing fees at least.
Wish I could recall the first thing I thought of as that was more exciting. Getting senile :(
