Ok got rid of the Compass, Binoculars, Sharps rifle and ammo and saddle bags

Thus got my "Adventuring gear" down to $981.50

on the subject what goes in which catagory for starting wealth purpouses.

At average wealth you get $1000 for adventuring gear and $4000 for everything else.
For this campaign that everything else could include:-
A wagon
a team to pull it
you entire wardrobe
standard equipment for your job (hint to the player presenting a doc char so you DONT have to buy it individually)
some articles of furnature (within reason it must fit in wagon etc)
saddle bags and all other tack for a mount.
your boots
a hat
a coat (so long as it does not provide DR)
a shovel
a hatchet
a tent
sleeping roll
personal or group basics
anything else you can convince me off.
You do not need ot worry about price as most of this will not be new and maynot be top notch stuff anyway.

For some simple guidlines as to what you have to buy with your 20% :-
anything that goes bang (ie guns)
any hand weapon that is not a tool of your trade
amunition
anything that provides DR except your boots
anything you fail to convince me to allow as part of the 80% lol

Ok Ill adjsut what I ahve to put his tools of his trade (prospecting and trapping) in his 80% column (which will be a pick and shovel) and then get back the saddle bags . Is it cool to through in a Saddle horse even if he doesn't ahve all the money fo rit?

I have GCA, when my character is finalized with equipment, I'll send it your way. Just as a heads-up, I have a trip for work from Sept. 19-28. During this time my access to internet (and therefore posting rate) will be unpredictable. Hope that won't be a problem.
