Gyroscopic balancing for bikes is already a thing.

More 2 wheeled cars.

The Gyro-X was a prototype working model.

Ford even made one (Gyron).

The Lit C1 self stabilising motorcycle has a width more in line with a conventional motor cycle (and the prototype has an enclosed shell in unfinished metal that looks very Dreg ganger). It is supposed to be able to take a t-bone from an SUV (at low speed) and remain upright (just being shoved out of the way - or conforming as CW has it).

These are not concepts, they are prototypes. The only thing stopping them being a thing is making them economical and overcoming safety concerns - they are arguably safer than moto cycles already, but they will be compared to cars as that is the target market.

Of course we have 4 wheel motorcycles as well, so the traditional CW 2-3-4 wheel differentiation is looking increasingly archaic.

I need to dig up my trike- and quad-bike rules at some point....

Paging General Grievous...

Just checked out a video fromthe 30s, The Dynasphere. Looks like it could be turned into a Skaven Doomwheel pretty easily. ;)

Let's hope 6.0 has fully enclosed cycles as taking direct hits to the crew isn't going to make them a popular option :)

As noted earlier: It depends on how cycles are designed -- if it's something like the Don Garlits "Alligator" (look it up)....

I actually fielded such a design in one of Curt Lindmark's TSAR email games back then. It was a fight in a shopping mall parking when you had to park, disembark and *run* to the mall's entrance (in the middle of enemy fire...).

Because the rules for disembarking meant it takes a very long time (like TWO seconds!!), I elected to go for a 25K bike. Somehow I still have the writeup for it... The IBA bike rider (sans shell) would jump off fast once parked (with retroboosters...) and the sidecar "passenger" with driver controls would drive away.

The design was deemed legit. I had planned a second-by-second acceleration/booster scheme, and it did work as planned, and I withstood a TwL shot without going up in flames... I had time to stop and disembark at second 7, but that's it... Unfortunately, the game was aborted at that point (took a LONG time to play out by email).
