You need a coven of high-end witches to support that... most great cities have only one, and its in the service of the city government. The process takes an hour and usually requires an auspicious time of day: noon, dawn, sunset, and midnight are popular.



Its a single roll against the lower of HT or Will, with -2. If you fail the roll, I won't kill the character, but they will be very depowered for the rest of the mission.

The people involved are well known... the ceremony is not, and is usually done in secret. Most people want others to know they're immortal, just not what the weakness is. This means the witches know what your immortality is... but they have little incentive to spread this knowledge around. Its worth pointing out this is precisely the way that you're attacking Bel.

The two of you have a day to kill in the city. Yi asks for 8 gold coins to set you up with horses and their gear before you set out for the cave complex in the morning. I think Halcyone needs a stealth roll to get the hive down.



You set off in the morning on your animals. Make a riding roll and handle animal roll each. Yi wants to move fast... though compared to modern technology, this is still slow.

It doesn't matter, but it turns out my alternative default is just as good as my IQ default for animal Handling.

What was the event that called for the riding roll?

Added notes:

Vassarious pays for the steed and takes a moment to put their heads together and spend a moment in acknowledgement of the creature before riding it.

They will try and make small talk on the journey:

"Do you have a prize picked out after this one?"

"Do you usually go for something specific, or do you sometimes search for low hanging fruit?"

"Do you have a family?"

I shake my head at the thought. "No, I have no need for further fates attaching themselves to me. If I die here I die because my choices and skill, not because a witch I'd only be killed by a man who was of no woman born and I just happened to run into a soldier who was a C-Section."
