I mean, dreadstormers without mind control do manage to take over entire ships... you've got 250 point action heroes underneath those powers.

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
You seem to be a little stuck. What do you need in terms of direction?
One idea has been suggested for breaking folks out of the brig, taking the armory, and then neutralizing security. That would qualify as "endgame", I think. Another idea suggested is to mind control more of security, until you have about 30 folks, rather than the 11 you have now. Which plan does each dread-stormer prefer? It does seem that the security section rather than the officers have been chosen as your linch-pin in taking down the ship.

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
I think the solution is to do both. We get a third of security under our control, kill another third, and then we roughly have parity with the remaining security forces. We would also have surprise.

Which would mean mind control as the next step, I think

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
Mind control for everyone! I'm good with the prison-break (brig-break?), armoury take over, neutralize security approach. We could try a longer approach of gradually subverting more and more of the ship, but really that would be more of the same that we've been doing for well over a year now (quite possibly the longest play-by-post game I've participated in), so I prefer transitioning into the next phase of this mission.

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
I am OK with the plans; I just have a few questions in matter of direction:
How much time until we reach the depot? What’s the hyperdrive status and estimated time for full repair? What could happen after the prison break? (how could things change) after this?

The Hyperdrive has had its core opened up and is being worked on. Loose projection on time is five days. The prison break will probably result in you needing to hide people somewhere on the ship. They may arm the entire crew and do a sweep of the ship. Which would lead to them discovering the armory tampering. It may also lead to them giving up and deciding to deny you use of the ship in the war, so they might stop repairing the hyperdrive. Not sure what else they might do yet, it depends on the exact circumstances of the prison break. Quote:
I do think the team has been playing the last little bit quite conservatively.

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
It definitely is, thank you. The vast majority of play-by-post games I've been a part of have died off quite quickly, sometimes before play has started, or just die quietly as either the players drop off or the GM loses interest/gets busy and stops posting. You've done a good job at keeping this game going, it's appreciated.
