Dwarves and big items
Hey guys! Newbie here with a noob question. Being a dwarf allows you to carry any number of big items. Is the one or two hand item limit effected by this? Example: if I'm a dwarf wielding the Hammer of Kneecapping and Sneaky Bastard Sword, could I wield the Huge Rock as well?

Re: Dwarves and big items
You could carry the Huge Rock at that point, but not equip it because that ability does not bypass how many hand item slots you have.

Re: Dwarves and big items
No. A Dwarf can carry, i.e. have in play, any number of Big Items. That does not give the Dwarf the ability to use every single one of those Big Items.
The distinction here is that having an Item in play does not mean you are using it, and those Items that you carry, but are not using, must be turned sideways, as the rules explain. |

Re: Dwarves and big items
So the limits also apply to carried items and not just items in use? Meaning if I were equipped with Mithril Armor I couldn't be carrying Slimy Armor?

Re: Dwarves and big items
That's completely opposite to what I said. The rules state that you can carry (i.e., have in play) any number of small Items, and one Big one. Any Item you are not using, for whatever reason (already using an Item of that type, your Race/Class/gender/etc. can't use it, etc.), must be turned sideways. This means that you could conceivably carry every Item that is Armor in the game, but can use only one, nominally, due to the restrictions in the rules.
