HOW MANY RULES PER ITEM CAN A CHEAT CARD CHEAT?
Hi there,
My friends and I are having a debate about the rules for cheat cards. Here is the situation. Assume for a moment that I am a Dwarf with a one handed sword already equipped. Among the cards in my hand I have a cheat card, and an item that I would like to equip but cannot for two reasons. Those reasons are: 1) The item is useable only by humans, and I am a dwarf; and 2) The item is two-handed and I already have a sword in one hand. Can I equip that item by applying the cheat card without having to unequip my other one-handed weapon? The debate is that there are TWO reasons why I shouldn't be able to equip that item, and one of our players feels that a cheat card can only cheat one rule at a time. On the other hand, I think the play should be allowed because the cheat card simply says that you can use it to equip an item that you would otherwise not be able to, it doesn't say how many reasons there have to be that you would otherwise be unable to equip it. What do you guys think? |

It lets you ignore all restrictions on an Item.
This post is from the Critical Links and Useful Information thread in the main Munchkin forum. Note the "Andrew adds" paragraph at the bottom.

Additional question: Can you still equip another one handed weapon after this move?

Re: HOW MANY RULES PER ITEM CAN A CHEAT CARD CHEAT?
Yes, because the 2 Hands Item that has Cheat! played on it does not take 2 Hands to use, so the player in question would still have 1 Hand free. The Cheat! card doesn't do just enough to make the Item legal, it makes things such that the Item does not need to be checked to see if it is legal to use.
