Re: [IC] Worlds of Fire
After listening to the others discussion Mark-315 has formulated an idea of his own.
Mark-315<Aloud>: “I get the feeling I’d stick out like a sore thumb to Guy, and Sara would likely be very intimidated and scared if I was to interact with her, so does anyone object if I go with Seann? Serena would likely be a great asset in accessing and manipulating these worlds’ computers at any internet cafe we visit.” Serena<Aloud, voice emanating from Mark-315’s concealed torso armour >: “Who knows, I might even be able to get us some in-depth info on demons, maybe some decent ID’s for us, and anything else we can think of.” |

"Let me know if you need help; that kit you asked for should be delivered within the next few hours, end of the day at the latest." He picks up his bag and heads over to the counter and pays for the meal before leaving, nothing about his stance or attitude suggesting that he is at all interested in the group of students. [OOC: for reference, it is currently 08:30 locally. Anyone wishing to keep things interesting by deciding that they have jump-lag may feel free.] [Further information: (this should have been put in earlier, but I'm adding it now; assume it was mentioned earlier). Longhampton follows the country's norm for laws. Most of these are normal enough (freedom of movement, speech, non-discrimination laws, generally CR3). Laws regarding weapons are however closer to CR5; guns and even knives above a certain size or lacking a mundane function are effectively LC1, available legally only to military or special forces. Being found carrying such things is liable to cause serious concern and attention from the police. On the other hand such things are rare enough that people, even police, aren't actively looking for them and a suitable fast-talk/ disguise roll at an appropriate penalty can pass such things as are noticed off as fakes, provided they have not been used too openly.]

Re: [IC] Worlds of Fire
Just after Ben leaves some of the other students begin to leave as well.
Sara, still sitting apart from everyone else, begins to make a hesitant move as well; she clearly didn't want to be here, but has visited the Rockfall Cafe in the hope of not appearing to have dropped out of existence or to find some sympathy. Instead she has managed to look even more out of place and attracted only the derision of her fellows. As Sara leaves, Guy perks up. He hurriedly gets up, says something quickly to the people he has nominally been talking to (which they appear to find quite funny) and followed Sara, catching up with her just inside the door. Despite Sara's obvious dislike of Guy, she doesn't appear willing to get rid of him, and with the reluctance of one bowing to the inevitable allows him to put an arm around her shoulder. Despite walking at her quite slow and very reluctant speed as they leave the cafe, Guy still manages to have something of a swagger about him. A few of the students that are around them grin or laugh at this.

Re: [IC] Worlds of Fire
Indigo stands and looks at his non-existent watch. "Well, I'd best be getting to work. Thanks for breakfast!" He strolls out after Guy, with almost comical nonchalance.
Acting-12 to avoid any semblance of caring in the least about the two people ahead of him: 3d6=11 (Note that with IQ 12 he likely has the edge on the average observer.) [ooc] Indigo will follow them until the crowd thins out a little, then catch up so he can talk to Guy.

Re: [IC] Worlds of Fire
"Well, if Sara suddenly found herself seeing Guy as a frightening and dangerous man... she'd probably aim to get away, yes? And I don't suppose he wants a huge fuss, so he'd probably let her go. Of course maybe today is Initiation Day and he's not going to let the new meat out of his sight. I'm not claiming this is a risk-free approach..."
