Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
The way the Blazen do it, no. They invented this, based on massive amounts of excess energy coming from their universe where the laws of physics aren't the same. You're dealing with a version of it retro-engineered based on people like Jorin seeing Webbed spells in action in the field and trying to work it out from there. Less than ideal, and not entirely helpful. One of the things being worked on in the Western Harbour is the process of bridging a gap without having to have an adjacent active spell; there is some doubt at present whether this is a separate spell altogether or an application of the Leaf. As a part of the research team (field observation being the only way to collect data in this manner) Jorin gets to run experiments under field conditions and so forth, so with sufficient experimentation he might stumble onto something of his own accord.

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
Hm. I think I understand now. So I'd need two adjacent separate Link spells, each with two Leaf spells, and then each would need a Stop Bleeding spell and two Leaf spells? Would I need one Maintain Spell or two? What if I had a single radius-2 Link spell with some Leaf spells?

You would need one chain of leaves for the main spell, another chain of leaves for the Link or Delay spell, and... Maintain Spell you would probably want to stick in a single instance of, with two leaves (so two hexes worth) in order to ensure that it doesn't get cancelled somehow (either by activating or by being dispelled). A "chain" is a single instance of the spell in question, with the first leaf attached to it, and other leaves having been added on from there. This is all experimental; Jorin is one of the people tasked with testing such thoughts and ideas under field conditions, and as such I reserve the right to be confused by my own logic at a later date.

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
As long as I'm allowed to be confused, too!
Because I am. But that makes sense if I'm a field tester. (Aw man cutting-edge tech- er, magic!) EDIT: 88 mph? Perfect.

Also, are any characters normal enough to know why 88 mph is significant?

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
I'll have my gear posted up here by tomorrow. A collapsible vehicle, a smart computer, and that's about it.

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
Sadly, Jacob is more into sports and swords than really old Earth-type movies.

Re: [OOC] Worlds of Fire
He shouldn't be... unless the effects of the critical failure make it obvious. And Michael will eventually start telling the voices to shut up out loud.
