Re: Custom Car Wars Maps
Thanks for the links, everyone! Didn't know about SHARP before and the NOVA maps page was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.
I'm way ahead of you on the easel pads, cubes, though I may be forced to stitch printed Word documents together for the time being. I'll take symmetry into account, but I'm a sucker for more organic, uneven designs. Granted, my naivety could be the only reason for that, but we'll see. |

Here is a couple of home made ones. The Mueller Arena done by Earlburt on this forum is from CW lore taken from SJG material. It's based off an actual out of service airport. Earlburt made quite a few more based on actual listed SJG lore. I'll see if I can find them and post. The other one I made where we did a three car vs three car race. I've made others using the blank map sheets that use to be sold by SJG and which could be purchased on Ebay from time to time. Here you go.. http://geekingmattv.blogspot.fr/2015...st_10.html?m=1 |

Re: Custom Car Wars Maps
Hi!
Are images turned off here in the forum? I tried to post an image of the map the other day, but it was only letting me post a link. Decided to upload it BGG instead, and then re-post here: https://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepa...burg-arena-pdf Inspired by jimmylogan's local mall down in Dyersburg, Tennessee for some eventual use in his PBEM games. Definitely not symmetrical as discussed earlier in this thread by Curt, but gates are separated into pairs, which are all equidistant to each other. So hopefully no initial advantages. :) |

Re: Custom Car Wars Maps
Yeah, that's kind of how we prefer it, for both administrative and bandwidth reasons. A few admin types can post graphic files, but we recommend the approach you already figured out -- post it elsewhere and then put a link on these forums.

Re: Custom Car Wars Maps
Thank you. Good to know.
Here's a direct image in case folk are leery of downloading an unseen pdf. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...sburg_2065.jpg I know I am. :) |
