I remember that one, it was on Tales from the Crypt. Looking it up, appears to be Season 3 Episode 5, “Top Billing.”

The times, they are a-changing.

US Boy Scouts can earn merit badges for robotics, space exploration and game design.

Any takers?

Game design is newer, but I got my Space Exploration merit badge in the mid-90s.

Okay, we are in the Future.

This maniac on YouTube has built a 100-watt handheld laser pistol that can ignite wood and burn holes in glass and metal. He built this in his private workshop.

So this demonstration means the sci-fi laser rifles and pistols of the 1960's and 70's fiction are possible NOW if one were to use actual high-end materials and resources. And might be available on the open market in five to ten years. (Assuming they aren't outlawed.)

Cool.

How to steal the Moon... with SCIENCE!

Some people deal with quarantine by becoming supervillains.

If you’re the Navy and you want to force another ship to go where you want it to go, make sure your ship is actually stronger...

Or you might end up sinking your own ship.

I'm reminded of the old joke that ends "This is a lighthouse."
