It would force them to have -DX it would just let them physically set the weapon down.

Depending on how into RPing your group is you could also slip the person who picks it up a note about it being a possessed blade and his character getting addicted to it like Gollum is to the One Ring. If you want a slower working curse with less predictable downsides, it would then be up to his allies to hind out the blade is cursed and take it from him.

The sword has a ghost of an expert swordswoman. In battle she might take over and she might stay in control. (Either that or a berserker.)
