Weapons for giants
I figure that giants won't carry the most complex weapons (excuse me while I hand cock this arbalest to settle down those noisy dragons), so here's my take on suitable weapons:

Re: Weapons for giants
I'll check out your links later.
My general rule was that if you made a giant-sized version of a weapon, you start by doubling everything in the weapons table: ST requirement, dimensions, weight, damage, and cost. We have had discussions about how the weights in the table are probably too high so, that could be trimmed back some. The damage may need to be trimmed back as needed. But the cost can remain double or maybe a bit more for local economic reasons. This general approached worked well back in our Classic TFT days. In Legacy TFT, more trimming may need to occur. |

Re: Weapons for giants
Another caveat to giant-sized weapons in games was that even very strong humans (one-hex characters) couldn't wield them because of their physical size. There was some wiggle room on that but not much. A sword made for a giant would have a grip made for much larger hands. A larger diameter spear could possibly be wielded by a strong human (maybe).
Giant 2-Handed Sword requires ST 28, does 6d-2 damage, and could reach 2 hexes from the giant. No, under legacy, one may want to reduce that damage. Due to availability and general ease, it's easier to give human-sized 2-handed weapons to giants and let them use it 1-handed while having a large or tower shield in the other hand. If the giant decides to use the human-sized 2-handed weapon with both hands, I use the 2-handed club damage example from Melee (ST 30 with 2-handed club = 3d+3 damage). For every 10 ST above the require weapon ST, add 1d+1. So, the 2-Handed sword swung with both giant hands would yield 4d damage provided that his ST is 24 or greater. |

This worked well for Classic TFT but probably needs to be trimmed back for Legacy. Doubling the human-sized weapons was my starting base and then modified it from there. |
