Default 18th Century d20?

This pricey artifact is one of set of items going up at Christies. Would make one heck of a d20, or conversely an unusual treasure item in an adventure.

It's a box, it looks like the hinge is on the upper right corner. Probably very badly weighted for a d20, though still a neat object.

Yes, it's listed as a "magic box". So it could perhaps contain a bound demon or other such powerful effect as well. As-is it likely wouldn't be a very effective die, but it does provide the basic template for a pretty cool one. A solid brass one cast from the design, say, though it would be dang heavy.
