Texas should be fine with this.

I've also just checked this on my Fire Tablet, and it downloads the pdf's with your error, but won't let me look at them. I haven't figured out how to fix this yet.

Do you have a desktop/laptop computer to download the files on?

I've been considering it, but I have some hesitations:

You have a few rules variations I've come across here and there is a lot to digest... I'll have to look again and get the deal on Quintessence...

I'm not that familiar with Traveller, nor any idea of the game style you're going to be going for which can educate a character choice.

The space knights is super tempting, but I generally prefer to go free range on my character creation. Seems like the Knight of starshine and shadow is the most compelling, but it seems to have a whole bunch of illegally redundant disadvantages.

So I'm still considering it... If the slots fill up before I get around to making a choice, so be it.

I chose to use Quintessence because I've long since gotten sick of the "wizards are always super-intelligent" trope, that also applies to psionics. So I use QN for supernatural powers so that there can be a stupid wizard with great power.

I also base PER on HT -- it's very much based on attributes of the body, i.e, HT. And that way Conan doesn't need to be a genius to have great perception.

Will is also based on QN.

Traveller really doesn't matter. I'm playing in GURPS, but I'm using the default setting for Traveller, the Third Imperium. Mostly. I really like the setting.

To see the expanse of it, see travellermap.com. This is the entirety of "Charted Space," that is, all of space that is charted. There are things going on outside charted space, but they aren't well known.

Try clicking on a star. This gives you more information about that star and a link to the Traveller wiki. You can get lost in there for hours.

The 3I (third imperium) is unfriendly to psions, all players will have psionics.

FTL Travel uses jumps, which take approximately one week and cover 1-6 parsecs, depending on your jump engine level and the fuel you expend (10% of the ship's volume in Hydrogen times the number of parsecs. There are ships that go faster, but most of them are impractical for pc's because they can't earn enough money on them.

Jump is usually considered completely safe and predictable. Once in jump, you can't communicate or sense anything outside your ship. You can't be detected or shot. You also cannot exit jump earlier or stay longer. This does make some adventures "interesting." What happens when somebody falls sick of a plague that is almost always fatal in a couple of days?

Even if you and the pirates chasing you go into jump at the same time, either of you could exit jump earlier than the other. Jump, any jump, really takes one week +/-10%.

Game style. This is a game of larger than life heroes doing good. This isn't because someone is paying them to do right, but rather because they choose to do this. Not saying that there won't be rewards, just that most of them will be non-physical.

I was trying to make the Knight of Starshine and Shadows to be a version of the DnD paladin, with a strict moral code. Obviously, I failed. I'll try to go over him today and tonight.

Please give him another look. I reduced him some and dropped some disadvantages.

So, all characters have both Divine Favor (the force) and Psionics, which are separate things? Are the only PSI powers available what's described on your page?

Are you granting the Reaction bonus for Devotion Talent to the Communion roll?

Your characters page lists BS at 5 points per rather than 5 points per 0.25... and that basic move, rather than basic speed are used for dodge...
Quote:
Basic Speed: (HT + DEX)/4 + 5 CP per additional level.
Quote:
Basic Move: Floor(Basic Speed) + 5 points per additional level; the number of yards that a character may move in one second; used to calculate dodge.
I have to presume this is an error...

I think I'm down to play your Starshine and Shadow Knight... Is there wiggle room for some personal customization besides the PSI?

So many errors. I'll try to fix this tonight.

Yes, you can move the points in skills around a bit if necessary. Do you have a name? Or rather, does your character have a name; I'm assuming that you have one yourself. Even the artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince had a name, even if it couldn't be pronounced.

Which premade characters are spoken for?

Looks like the engineer's psi is limited to true communion?
