TL 9 Light infantry helmets and Reflex Tactical Vests. You can get the trauma plates if you're expecting trouble, but normally they aren't worn on board the ship.

I guess the plates would push me over no encumbrance? I'll take a vest and helmet.

Yeah, a helmet, vest, and sidearm should cover Daymar's needs.

The weapons are generally laser carbines... I suppose you can easily bum a pistol off someone if you need to. That's 5.6 lbs of weaponry, 9 lbs for the vest, 3 lbs for a helmet, and 9 lbs if you want the inserts. A pistol is likely a 1.5 lb laser pistol.



I'm assuming Daymar got his hands on a pistol... or do you want a carbine?

If a carbine is what's available, he'll take it, he's just better with a pistol. If he can, he'd take both, without the inserts he'd still be at no encumbrance.

"laser gun" could refer to the carbine or the pistol... but your weapon skills will use the pistol better. You are already carrying a carbine as part of your "disguise"

It must be purchased with personal funds, so its not terribly common, but there are a few of them floating around. It is not reserved for officers. There are about a dozen of them among the security you subverted... so maybe one in five security/officers have one.

He is in off hours, much like you are. So probably awake.
