Then there are the people who take that and apply it to researching different colleges - physicists and chemists and biologists and so forth. Then there are the people who take that research and use it to develop new rituals - engineers. Finally, there are all the various workers who work together cast the rituals, who generally don't understand much of the theory at all."

"I guess that's similar. We wouldn't call what we do magic, because it's all about the tools and how they're used. Imagine you used that loom to make some cloth and you didn't reinforce it. You're using the way the world works to..."
He pauses
"Magic is just another tool, isn't it? Or tools are a different form of magic. It's all about using what you have to change the world into a world a little more like the one you want."
