Lilim and Charm
In the Core, under Baal and Kronos, it refers to Lilim and charming someone.
Is this a typo? I checked the IN errata and it does not address this. Beth? |

Re: Lilim and Charm
From the In Nomine FAQ:
What is the "charm" referred to in the attunements for Lilim of War and Fate? Without going into the gory details, the "charm" refered to in the descriptions is pretty close to the English definition, not a game mechanic! If, in the GM's opinion, the Lilim character has acted "charming" enough to the victim, she should get the bonus. This probably also requires appropriate circumstances. If you are in combat or being tortured, it's easy to miss the wiles of even a Lilim! •Lilim of the War The target number of any attempt to 'charm' someone (i.e., get them to like the Lilim, be attracted to her, etc.) has a bonus equal to her Corporeal Forces. Under the right circumstances this can be a bonus to a Seduction roll, the reaction roll, or other appropriate skills. GM's discretion about how long this takes and whether the bonus is appropriate. •Lilim of Fate Any "charmed" person (i.e., someone who has a favorable reaction toward the Lilim due to her efforts) is much easier to find a Need in. Add the Lilim's Celestial Forces to her Perception when looking for a Need. The amount of time required to charm the person depends on the GM (it should require a certain amount of effort and roleplaying!).

Re: Lilim and Charm
Thank you. I'm embarrassed that I didn't check there as well. Erm, shouldn't it be in the Errata?

Re: Lilim and Charm
I'm not sure it is errata as such. It is merely using a literary meaning of a word when you were expecting a game mechanical one. There isn't anything actually wrong with "charm" in that context.

Re: Lilim and Charm
It is true that Lilim, in a prior draft, had a Charm/Geas mechanic akin to the Impudite Charm/Drain one. However, when Lilim lost the Charm part, the "charm" of the mechanics quoted became english instead of game jargon.
If you wish to submit errata, though, I surely don't mind. (It goes to the errata coordinator, not me. O:> ) Probably it'd be something like "P.00, Lilim of Baal Band Attunement: "charm" has the English definition, not the Impudite one." The FAQ is very useful, though.
