Not really. The range of ways in which different parties have managed to snafu the straightforward task of serving a search warrant on a locker in a public gym is so vast that my gobsmacked gland is exhausted. I am left with nothing to say or do other than shaking my head and giggling helplessly.

I have to say, though, that I've seen it go a lot worse.

I'm glad to know. I imagined you staring at the screen in disbelief, gritting your teeth with rage and muttering "how dare he do that to my scenario!!"

My dentist has told me not to grit my teeth any more. There is this splint I am supposed to wear....

At least they didn't turn it into the full-on SNAFU that we did, IIRC.

No. I think your performance ended up with more recipients shot by the ICfJ than any other. But when I ran 9,401 at the con several groups lost their aircars, thrown off the roof by those youths with the basket-ball. Those then had to escape on foot to the airport. Thus they drew a pursuing mob into contact with the member militia guarding said airport. Several groups have sent that situation mammaries vertical.

Well, that's a questionable distinction.

That's worse, yeah.

It's a deceptively dangerous scenario. It seems Mercator's group actually handled it pretty professionally comparatively.

For those who came in late, sir_pudding and I are talking about a game that I ran in the Play-by-Post forum some years ago.

I suppose it is, though no team had a member killed or even seriously wounded until the effectives attack von Bork's holiday place. The danger was not of getting killed, but of roostering up the investigation, and a bit of thought was more effective than a metric tonne of weapons and SERE equipment.

It was meant to be a fair challenge and three hours of fun in a convention game. And in those terms it worked. The pacing failed in PbP.
