In my experience you either can't find a single person who's schedule matches a single other person even one day a month, or you are beating potential players off with a stick. There is no middle ground. :)

I like the sense of style conveyed in these. Clean and simple turns out to be very effective. Most minis seem to try to earn their artist's keep with lots of fussy details.
That is the joke! I refer to the party as "a band of steely eyed heroes." When someone asks why I used ball bearing eyes, though, I always just say, "they're round."

Thank you! I like the simple look, too. Part of it is about speed, part is about not trying to apply my fledgling skills to a goal they cannot achieve, and part is about consistency.

In defense of other (actual professional) miniature sculptors, they are after something different. The minis they do are intended to be painted with dry brush and wash to evoke depth, so it is necessary to exaggerate a lot of the surface topography. Also, those minis are half the height, with twice the sculpted features. I have a lot of respect for what guys at Reaper and Citadel and Hasslefree do. I have learned a lot by watching videos and reading books about the art they practice. I still feel like they do hair and fur a lot better with their green stuff than I do with Sculpey. What they achieve with filament at half the size...

That explains a lot- several years w/o a single player, followed by a flood. Schedules are still complicated, but that is just post high school life, I suppose.

Yup, sir_pudding describes the regular situation pretty well, though in my case even six players and a few substitutes is where it starts getting over my head (guess where I am, atm).

Back on topic: Reggie is one of the coolest minis I've ever seen. Love what you've done with his facial hair. Gives the ogre a very individual touch. The others are great too, of course, but I really love Reggie.

Wow . . . been a while since anyone's posted.

Well, I was working on an angel-theemed super (Alabaster) -- some might even like it for In Nomine.

Sibling Rivalry
Alabaster and Obsidian.

Sorry for the massive picture size. I'm starting to do all my renders at 1080x1920 for display on my ultrabook.

Sorry, did you say "rivalry" or "revelry"? <g>

(As for In Nomine, I'd guess Mercurian of Creation and Impudite of Lust...)

They've both got feathers -- diplomat Mercurian and militant Malakite, clearly. O;>

I must have missed this. Thank you! Reggie is still acting as unarmed tank, wading into trouble, showing poor judgement, and evoking fear among the townsfolk.

I have been working on monsters for my DF campaign.

This is a troll. Check his mullet!

Here we have a minotaur wearing chainmail.

My take on ettercaps have eight limbs.

I may do some more work on this manticore to add more impressive claws. My campaign's manticores have no wings.
