I'm interested in perhaps playing in this game.

I have created a character who is linked below...

Sourn is a wanderer. He's unaging and has been around for a pretty long time. He's a world/time jumper so can pretty much go wherever he wants to go. I don't believe he's aware of the war in this setting. Mostly he's been jumping from world to world/time to time, living a somewhat carefree lifestyle. He's not scroupulous about stealing or running a con when he jumps into the world to set himself up. His main goals are to have a good time and experience everything that the various cultures he runs into have to offer.

Let me know if you guys still have a free spot, and if this character sounds like a good fit for this campaign (and if the build is good)

I have already got another player who has submitted a character sheet and I've been managing not to get around to checking over it properly. That's just been completed, so... I think this started with five players, so I do technically have room at the moment.

A glance at the sheet tells me that you've got a decent start. Fill out some backstory (beyond the choice of weapons), the disadvantages, and give some more details for the two Jumper abilities (there's a post somewhere in this thread about it... Basically add some kind of colour so that it's not just the generic version and there are some kind of modifiers on how it works), and I'll take another look at it.

So what kind of short- or medium-term plans is Michael making here? Is he planning on going back to Sumner in the near future, having just vanished in the middle of the conversation? Is he planning on wandering around here? Thoughts?
Sumner? He may come back, hopefully having raised the man's interest in what's going on.

Michael is quite suspicious that the target world has multiple very strong powers, and is feeling a little exposed with out his mages to protect him. Not to mention the casino around the exact spot hes seeking burning down makes him suspect there are agents on both sides of the jump.

The plan is to gain a pawn on this side of the jump (one who can speak French), figure out this side of the worlds enemies (or verify that no one is operating here) and then launch attacks at the nursing home from either afar or the casino's ashes.

I was ironically enough, considering burning down the home as my first attack.

Can I assume that Jacob is under 320lbs, even with equipment, and move on?

EDIT: whoops, I missed one more very important question. But I do still need to know if Jacob is <=320lbs

I'll add to this a reminder that use of Jumper (Time) is prohibited on the Front Line (where most of your missions will be). No one has tried it yet, so this is just a friendly reminder.

Sorry to pre-empt you there. As you might have spotted we've potentially got two players turning up shortly. Nominally, they'll be joining Michael when they appear, so knowing this would you be willing to delay things a bit (ish) to have an actual PC to work with rather than an NPC?

To manage 320lbs at his ST Jorin would need to be Very Fat or carrying a lot of gear. I'm willing to go with Jorin not weighing that much, but between robes (normally either flimsy and light or more likely heavy material) and the staff, he's going to be fairly close, so don't count on carrying too much extra weight.

Sure! Of course, he was planning on brainwashing his pawn .... It hasn't happened yet in game because of time constraints. We do a LOT of dashing around.

I think either you misunderstood me or I you, possibly both. I had already assumed that Jorin was between 200lbs and 320lbs, like you said. Jacob did not think he was under 200lbs, but I wanted to confirm that Jacob was under 320lbs.

If so, Jorin will be able to maintain a Slow Fall on Sam, John, Wolf, and Haas for free, as well as a Levitation on Jorin and Jacob. I wanted to use the Slow Fall on as many people as possible, even though it's a lower weight limit for the same cost, because it gets them to the ground automatically instead of requiring my concentration, like Levitation does.

Totem: I tried to PM you with my current character writeup. I'm not sure if it went through or not. I'm still getting the hang of these forums.

If you didn't get it let me know and I can send it again. (also if you would prefer to get it a different way, just let me know and I can use an alternate method).

Check with Lamech; we did do one attempt at using the Brainwashing skill once. Things like that take a while so we generally need to find something else for everyone else to do or to run it fairly quickly. On this note if there is something that anyone wants me to aim for (some skill combo they want to try out or whatever) then let me know, because I do try to make room for these things if I see them.

Ack... Mea culpa. Yes, that one is my mistake. Jacob probably comes in at under 320lbs as well; the sword and armour are fairly high-tech so weight isn't a huge thing there.

Yes, I've had four PMs since I checked yesterday. I'm trying to catch up with them at present. I'm currently trying to update Arkady's character sheet, after which I will look at Sourn. If you and Yoippari could co-ordinate a bit about your respective characters that would help. The current plan will be thus: The Western Harbour got word from the Amber Watchtower updating them about what is happening, and you pair have been sent in as backup. Together.

Arkady
Sourn

Assume that any changes will be minor at this point, but give me a chance to think before jumping in. I'll be in touch on that ASAP.

I do post in the Looking For Players thread when I have a space. Having a few character ideas lying around helps somewhat in that kind of circumstance.
