Default Counting Prerequisites

I might have missed it but as wel in BS239 and M11, it seems important to count prerequisites. In the GCA files, the prereqcount has its own entry within each spell.

Why is this important? Is it needed?

It is important for those who have been so unwise as to try and use the "Ritual Magic" form in the textbox at the beginning of the Spells section in Basic.

If you're not sue that variant (or some other that I've forgotten at the moment) it's not important.

There are a variety of mechanics that use a spell's prerequisite count. For example, the ritual magic variant presented in the Basic Set (p. B242) uses the prerequisite count to set the penalty to cast a spell at default from your Ritual Magic skill.
