Such that if it gets repaired, it is guaranteed to shortly revert to its signature broken state? I guess. Could be appropriate for, say, the classic eternally run down freighter.

Such that you can buy it on the cheap and be guaranteed a chance to fix it up later? Eh, maybe, you'll need to cough up the price differential you didn't pay at the start before it is fixed properly, but with that understanding I don't see why not.

What's the intent? I don't see a fundamental issue with it, but I also don't see the reason for it. Is the intent to be a Potential Advantage (B33?)

Maybe to have something like Narsil/Anduril happen at a dramatically appropriate moment.

Definitely covered by potential advantage.

Yes, except for gear rather an Advantage. Also, Signature Gear is an ongoing insurance policy while Potential Advantage happens once. Although, in general Advantages already have more plot protection than gear does so that may not be much of a difference.

Potential advantage for signature gear (meaning you are expected to acquire the signature gear at some point in the future) seems legal. That's basically what the 'broken but will be fixed' sword is.

That makes sense, except Signature Gear is already only [1] so half... close enough, it works. Thank you.

Just what i thougth. You may loose your gear, but somehow the plot gives it back to you (they are the same goldfish)

A far as the atl-atl goes, a launched spear is going to be fast like an arrow. Due to its mass I would treat it as maybe 1 point easier to parry than an arrow, using the appropriate abilities. But if you didn't want to houserule, I would absolutely rule that launching it from an atl-atl turns it into an arrow, rather than a spear, in terms of whether it is a missile and whether you can parry it. Parrying a spear or dart launched from an atl-atl would, in fact, be terrifying difficult and difficultly terrifying.

A coupler of thoughts, on flaming weapon, it comes with an enchanted scabbard, something like flameproof cast on it, that allows to weapon to be safely carried, it is free with the sword, costs money to replace if lost.

Dwarven whet stone, not on bodkin arrows, fine on standard arrows.
